Confirmation Instruction is provided by our Pastor for 7th & 8th grade students on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 P.M. In the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS), confirmation – or the public affirmation of baptism and faith – is arrived at after a period of instruction that lasts several years. At St. John we make a very deliberate effort to be clear that instruction in the faith, prayer, and contemplation of the Scriptures, is part of every Christian’s daily life and does not end with confirmation.

Youth Confirmation and 1st Communion are taught at the same time. Confirmands in 8th grade receive sacrament on Maundy Thursday, at the Confirmation service and the 1st Sunday in May following Easter.
